To anyone who actually reads these things....Don't expect too much new anytime too soon. I've been accepted and joined the Cellular, Molecular, and Developmental Biology, and Biophysics Department at Johns Hopkins University in search of a PhD degree. Which is awesome. And time consuming. Eventually it'll be less class and lab and more just lab work but for now most of my free time is spent getting enough sleep to function on. Hopefully more will come later :)

Debt Free!

Almost exactly a year after I graduated from my undergrad and about six months after getting my first real job I have officially sent in the last moneys I owe on my student loans. Granted my mom helped me pay off a lot of them, but I earned and sent in the last five thousand myself. So excited to be debt-free (at least for now)! Henceforth all the money I make is officially mine to do with as I please. In other news, I'm part of the way to making myself an Ironette costume for NDK so I can go be one of Ironman's costumed cheerleaders which will be awesome. Furthermore, assuming I ever finish them, I may actually have some pics to put up eve

NDK 2009

As per usual I went to NDK this year and it was even better than the years before. Not only were they better organized than they have been but they also had the panels spread more evenly which meant that I could not only see all of the ones that I wanted but that I had a reason to hang around Sunday instead of packing it in early! Furthermore, I got one of the on-site spots for the costume/cosplay contest and got to take my new Iceclimbers outfits on stage which was awesome since I literally finished putting them together two days before (or that day if you count that that's when I dyed the gloves).  Even better, everyone else apparently als
